"For most immigrants the word 'America' has thousands of meanings,” writes student author Edwin Soto in So What Now? a collection of American Dream essays written by Edwin and his classmates at Boston International High School. These unique student student authors, who have all immigrated to the U.S. within the past five years from countries including Cape Verde, Albania, and Sudan, worked side-by-side with 826 Boston tutors over the past several months to revise and polish their writing for publica tion.
Edwin spoke recently with reporters from WGBH/Public Radio International’s “The World” and mused on the challenges and opportunities of being a young immigrant in the United States. To listen to the story and view Edwin's piece online, please visit: TheWorld.org
So What Now? will be available soon online.
