October 31, 2025

Night of 1,000 Stories, our celebratory gala to support Boston students, was a huge success! The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour and more than 350 guests enjoying food and drink at City Winery.

The program began with an opera performance from White Snake Projects, with lyrics authored by 826 Boston students from To The People Like Us. 826 Boston’s Executive Director Corey Yarbrough then presented the Changing the Narrative Award to Sheena Collier, CEO & Founder of The Collier Connection and Founder of Boston While Black.

Alumna Ashley and student Rudhly offered their inspired stories, followed by a lively conversation about writing with student Camila, best-selling author Jasmine Guillory, and Sheena Collier.

It was an evening where the transformative power of 826 Boston’s writing, tutoring, and publishing programs were on full display —and it’s not too late to donate. We raised $200,000 and we’re still counting on you to get us to the goal.

We are so grateful for the 826 Boston community of supporters and to all our sponsors:
