This year’s Night of 1,000 Stories gala was full of great conversations, inspiring writing, and tasty food and drink. Held on October 9, 2024 at City Winery, the memorable evening included:
- Opening remarks from the our Executive Director Corey Yarbrough
- Performances from author Desmond Hall and students Maya and Rudhly, and alumna Mariam
- A moving film from Matt Watson about Adam, age 23, who started as a student at age 12 and continued as a volunteer for many years
- A lively and heartfelt conversation with our featured speaker Desmond Hall and student Rudhly about their creative processes
- Inspiring remarks from restauranteur/entrepreneur Nia Grace upon receiving our “Reshaping the Narrative Award.”
