Welcome to our board member April Bo Wang as our new Board President!

As Board President, April will lead effective board governance, serve as a key ambassador and connector for the organization, and partner with the Executive Director to help ensure that 826 Boston fulfills its mission and advances its strategic goals.

“I am excited to continue working with April as she steps into the role of Board President,” states Executive Director Corey Yarbrough. “As a former staff member and accomplished storyteller, April brings a deep understanding of our mission and community. I look forward to her leadership as we advance our strategic vision in service to Boston youth!”

April is thrilled to support the next generation of storytellers at 826 Boston. She first became involved with 826 Boston as a staff member, serving as Education Director for three years, then as a volunteer in the BINcA Writers’ Room. Outside of 826 Boston, April is the mom of a young teller of tall and fantastic tales, and helps mission-driven organizations tell compelling stories about their work. She is a voracious reader of romances and murder mysteries.
