This year’s speaker is Randall Munroe, the author of The New York Times bestseller What If?, the science question-and-answer blog What If?, and the popular webcomic xkcd. In 2006, he left a job building robots at NASA to draw comics on the Internet full-time. His forthcoming book, Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words, will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on November 24, 2015.
Munroe will be interviewed by 826 Boston students and esteemed media personality Christopher Lydon. Previously a journalist for The New York Times and founding producer and host of the long-running radio program, The Connection, Lydon currently hosts Open Source, which airs on WBUR.
