This fall, fifteen tenth-grade students at Boston International Newcomers Academy (BINcA) wrote New and Beautiful Places, a book of memories and shared experiences. In the words of Rebecca Mulligan, a 10th Grade English/ESL Teacher at BINcA who led this project: “This book was created with the belief that sharing stories builds community. Reading each other’s stories, and reflecting on how we are similar or different, brings us together. It strengthens connections and reveals how much we have to learn from each other.”
