Andrea is a proud Latina from Venezuela who brings her passion for creativity, storytelling, and cultivating community to everything she does. She’s currently studying Visual Design at Bunker Hill Community College and first joined the 826 Boston team as an illustrator intern, where she created artwork that helped bring students’ stories to life. Now, as a program assistant at the Margarita Muñiz Academy, Andrea supports students as they build their writing skills and find their own unique voices. Growing up as an immigrant in the U.S. has given her a deep understanding of the challenges young people face, inspiring her to help empower students on their own journeys toward success. When she’s not working, Andrea enjoys expressing herself through art, spending time outdoors exploring nature, and diving into films and books that fuel her creativity and imagination.
