This summer, 826 Boston is partnering with school improvement nonprofit EdVestors to bring a four-part College Essay Boot Camp to 25 rising seniors from across the city of Boston who are participating in the Bloomberg Arts Internship.
The College Essay Boot Camp will take place on four consecutive Fridays in July and August:
July 26, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at Putnam Investments, 100 Federal Street
August 2, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at Shorelight Education, 2 Seaport Lane
August 9, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at WeWork, 501 Boylston Street
August 16, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at EdVestors, 140 Clarendon Street
The four-hour commitment includes on-site training, 2.5 hours working directly with one or two students, and wrap up.
The college essay might be the most important piece of writing a student will author. Over the course of this four-part College Essay Boot Camp, students develop their personal statements, moving them forward in the writing process from a brainstorm and outline to first and final drafts.
Join us for one, two, three, or all four sessions!
