2022 Social Justice Scholarship winners

July 1, 2022

We’re excited to announce the five 826 Boston students that will receive this year’s Social Justice Scholarship: Courtney Lambright, Minh Le, Joshua Paris (not pictured), Zaryah Qareeb, and Zariyah Wilkerson. Each student will receive $10,000 to use toward their college expenses.

826 Boston was proud to partner with Carrie Clifford and Gloria Harrison of the Hard Candy & Fruit Snacks podcast for the second year in a row on these scholarships. To learn more about how the scholarships got started, don’t miss this earlier piece in the Dorchester Reporter, and listen to this podcast episode with Carrie and Gloria to hear from some of last year’s winner!

Courtney went to the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science and will attend Georgia State University. Minh Le is a graduate of Boston International High School and will attend Suffolk University. Joshua Paris graduated from Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers and will attend Bridgewater State University. Zaryah Qareeb is a graduate of Boston Arts Academy and will attend Emerson College. Zariyah Wilkerson is a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School and will be attending Northeastern University.

Congratulations to all the students!
