All sorts of records were broken at this year’s Books for Breakfast—Boston recorded the coldest high temperature ever for November 13 and the annual event brought in more support than ever before—a whopping $191,615.

The morning was filled with many memorable moments: Legacy performing her powerful poem, Carla and Betiel—826 Boston student alumni—sharing what 826 Boston has meant to them, and former U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power encouraging us to “lean on” and share our stories.
