The students at 826 Boston’s After-School Writing and Tutoring program had a visit from a few special guests last week—Boston City Councilor Ben Weber and staff from City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson’s office!
The District 6 councilor spent time with the students, sharing stories about his journey to becoming a city councilor, including his adventures as a workers’ rights lawyer. The students didn’t hold back asking him pressing questions about the MBTA, housing, what being a city councilor is like, and, most importantly, which soccer position he rocked back in high school!
A huge thank you to Councilor Weber and Joshua Champagne, Director of Community Relations at Councilor Anderson’s office, for dropping by and making our day extra special.
