826 Boston’s student publications featuring the work of students from kindergarten through grade 12 are now available at all Boston Public Libraries!
“We are very excited to partner with the Boston Public Library to share the work of Boston students who have worked so diligently to bring their creative writing to life in our books and publications,” states Corey Yarbrough, Executive Director. “It’s also a great opportunity for parents and guardians to check out 826 Boston’s books from their local library to understand what our free programs can help students of all ages to write and publish.”
“The Boston Public Library is proud to share the creativity and talent of Boston’s young writers by making 826 Boston’s student publications available at all 25 locations,” said BPL President David Leonard. “We hope these books inspire readers of all ages and encourage more young writers to see the library as a place to develop their own voices.”
Twenty-three titles of personal narratives, creative nonfiction, college essays poetry, short fiction, and essays have been distributed, including What If the World Needs You: Advice and Life Lessons From 826 Boston Students, Coming up for Air: Reflections From the Teenage Mind, How We May Appear: Gen – Z’s Reflections on Self-identity and Equality Through Poems, Essays, and Narratives, and many more.
