Choose your decimal point for 826 Day!

August 20, 2026

If you’ve ever seen a young person hold a real, physical book with their name printed next to their words, you know the look.

Something shifts.

They stop seeing writing as just a school assignment and start seeing themselves as authors whose voices matter and have the power to make an impact.

That’s the work of 826 Boston, but getting those stories onto the page takes real resources—paper, print runs, bindery equipment, and ink.

On August 26, we’re celebrating 826 Day and raising $8,260 to keep our publishing presses running for Boston students this fall!

Here’s a quick video to explain what we’re working on:

Choose your decimal point!

$8.26: Page Turner Tier
Funds 500 sheets of lined paper for young writers drafting their first ideas.

$82.60: Book Builder Tier
Funds 5,000 sheets of paper, student supplies, and snacks for after-school tutoring.

$826.00: Story Sustainer Tier
Fully sponsors an entire school chapbook publication from draft to final print!

Why wait until August 26? Donate today and help us start the 826 Day celebration early!

Choose your decimal point today!

With appreciation,

Corey Yarbrough
Executive Director
