Boston Neighborhood Network (BNN) visited our College Essay Boot Camp at Northeastern University in October to learn more about what the program entails, how it helps college-bound students polish their essays and boost their confidence, and the incredible difference individualized support can make (for students and volunteers)!
Check out the segment here.

Executive Director Corey Yarbrough recently joined Java with Jimmy to discuss all things 826 Boston. During the conversation, he highlighted the incredible student-authored books published each year, and emphasized the need for students to have safe creative outlets and individualized tutoring. Additionally, he shared his thoughts on the concerning trends revealed in the MCAS scores, and discussed how organizations like 826 Boston can help reduce the achievement gap, especially in Black, Latino, and other marginalized student communities.
