Last week, 826 Boston marked Transgender Awareness Week with these resources curated by our DEI Director Francie Latour. As Francie shared in a note to our team, the resources were designed to engage all of us to:
- Say the names of trans lives stolen in 2021
- Understand the magnitude and dimensions of anti-trans violence through data visualization
- Behold trans voices through performance poetry
- Celebrate, protect and fight for the humanity of trans people who are LIVING, especially trans Black and Brown women/femmes, who are disproportionately targeted by anti-trans violence.
We hope you’ll read, watch, and take action today—and every day. If you have other resources to share, please send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Please use caution when engaging with these resources, as they may be triggering.
